Frequently Asked Questions
Getting Started
Do I need soccer experience?
No. This is built for adults at every level — from people who haven't played in years to those who currently play recreational soccer and want structured training.
What if I haven't played in years?
You're exactly who these sessions were built for. They're designed to ease you back into soccer fitness and technique, not to test you against people who never stopped playing.
Do I need to be fit before I start?
No. Fitness builds through the sessions themselves — the soccer is the workout.
Can beginners participate?
Yes, in the 30+ and 50+ Soccer Fitness programs. Position-specific training (Defender, Midfield & Attacking, Goalkeeper) assumes some baseline comfort on the ball — check each program page for specifics.
How do I find out when a class opens?
Join the waiting list from any class page or Find My Class — it's free, takes a minute, and we'll email you as soon as a class opens. Spots go to whoever signed up first.
Age
Do I have to be over 30 to join?
No — classes are open to all adult ages. The 30+ and 50+ programs are paced for those age groups, but there's no strict age requirement to join.
What's different about the 50+ program?
Same soccer-first approach, with pacing, mobility work, and intensity adjusted for an older adult body — without feeling watered down.
Classes
How long are classes?
Most sessions run 60 minutes. Clinics may run 60–90 minutes depending on the topic.
How many people are in each class?
Classes are capped at 16 players, split into 8v8 games.
Are classes competitive?
No — small-sided games and drills are structured for fitness and skill-building, not league-style competition.
Do you play actual games?
Yes, every class includes 8v8 small-sided games as part of the workout, alongside technical and fitness work.
Equipment
What should I wear?
Athletic wear suited for outdoor training, plus cleats and shin guards (see below).
Do I need cleats?
Yes, cleats are required.
Do I need shin guards?
Yes, shin guards are required for every session.
Booking
Can I book a single class?
Yes — drop-in booking is available alongside class packs and memberships.
Do I need a membership?
No, memberships are optional. You can drop in, buy a class pack, or commit monthly.
Can I cancel?
Yes — cancel at least 24 hours before your class for a full refund.
What happens if a class is full?
